[2^0] About
I’ve been making things on computers for most of my life.
I grew up in the Netherlands and built my first websites at thirteen.
I like small teams, ambitious projects, good engineering and people who can disagree without making it tedious. I still enjoy opening an empty repository and figuring something out.
I work internationally. Outside work I train Muay Thai and like chess, which I played competitively in Zwolle and taught to primary-school children there. I also build things that occasionally have no sensible commercial purpose.

[2^2] Experiments
Small working things.
Play Jev, a simple engine or a friend, or watch Jev play itself; in chess or any of the 960 Chess960 starting positions.
A shared canvas of a million emoji cells: drag to paint, watch everyone else’s strokes arrive live, and let Jev join in.
Jevvie, the companion in the corner of the site: ask it to do something and Jev picks one of the page’s actions. Agents can drive the same actions over WebMCP.
A 1988 mainframe terminal in amber phosphor. Power it on and log on, or skip the login and play /race.
