A game of chess.
Play Jev, a simple engine or a friend, or watch Jev play itself. Jev weighs every legal move at once and shows how sure it is. Chess960 shuffles the back rank into one of 960 starting positions.
Piece sets by Armando H. Marroquín, Utrecht by Hans L. Bodlaender, from Eric Bentzen’s En Passant collection (more on the fonts). Rules by chessops, by Niklas Fiekas, the library behind Lichess, licensed under the GPL-3.0, and so is this experiment’s source. The coach is Stockfish, as stockfish.js (GPL-3.0), loaded only when the coach is on.
